The GH-29 tapered wedge design is engineered for precision and efficiency:
Seamless Sealing: The slide is angled to align perfectly with the frame’s seating surface. During the final rotations of the operating stem, the gate wedges securely against the sealing perimeter, creating an almost leak-proof seal.
Adjustable Reinforcement: Fully adjustable wedges at the top of the slide provide added strength, ensuring superior performance even under high unseating head conditions.
Low Friction Operation: Once unseated (after approximately 2 inches of upward travel), the gate operates with minimal friction, ensuring smooth and reliable performance.
For projects requiring lightweight materials, a similar design is available in aluminum as the Model GH-27.
